A story about a child who goes out in the rain and makes some amazing discoveries! Including splashing in puddles, watching wilted flowers come alive, lots of action songs, a rainbow, snail racing, singing birds, worms and a cloud in a bottle experiment (Suitable for 2 - 8 years).

To enjoy and be fully engaged in the story no matter their age or background.
To gain confidence, self-awareness and extend their vocabulary by participating in the performance.
To inspire children's imagination and their love of stories, reading and science.
To encourage home learning where children and parents can try activities they have seen in the story together at home.
TO encourage children to go outside and learn about nature and to observe and ask questions about what happens to the animals and plants in our environment when it rains.
I had great fun preparing the props for this story including making the rainclouds for the scenery, the rainbow banner, the wiggly worms, the pebble mats for the puddles, a rainy day bag for my coloured scarves, practicing the cloud in a bottle and magic flowers experiments, making rainy day curtains, the snail racing track and finally having a run through with my children to make sure all the elements of the story work. I hope you enjoy looking at the photographs of my journey.
